Samantha's July 3rd birthday

>> Saturday, July 4, 2009

We were able to spend a day and a night at Grandma and Grandpa's cabin in Warm Lake. It was a very special time because we were able to share Samantha's second birthday doing something new and fun. As a matter of fact, our short stay was full of firsts for Samantha. It was her first time to the mountains, first time to the cabin, the first time she was able to get a ride on the four wheeler, the first time on a boat, and her first time to swim in the deep water. The swimming was her favorite part. She loves the water and didn't even shiver when she pretty much threw herself into the lake. What a special way to spend a birthday, and how special it must have been for Grandma and Grandpa Blomberg to be such a big part. Thanks again you two. Can't wait for next time.

A fun day with Kylee

>> Thursday, July 2, 2009

Samantha has made friends with the little girl next door, Kylee. She waits outside and watches their house until Kylee comes out to play. They both had a fun time jumping on the trampoline. Especially when the sprinklers came on. Then Matthew decided it would be fun to keep it going, and sprayed both the girls with the hose, and the girls just giggled and had a ball. We are really enjoying our new home, the neighborhood, and the very nice neighbors that are here. We are truly blessed.

Samantha update

>> Friday, June 26, 2009

I just wanted to post a note about Samantha. We saw her cardiologist yesterday. He said that he is amazed at her progress. He for sees no problems in her future, and gave us a 2 year pass. When she is 4 they will do an echo on her heart, but he is very optimistic that she will be fine. She has gotten big, which all of you know, but her growth has been very good. Dr. Womac said he could barely recognise her. 1 year ago, she was below the 5th percentile mark for her weight, and in between the 5th and 10th percentile for her height. Now she is well into the 50th percentile for both. She is a happy, healthy almost 2 year old. Thank you everyone for all the prayers while she was sick. This last year has been amazing. Watching her heal and grow has healed my heart too.
