Samantha and her coolio's at Mammers House

>> Sunday, March 21, 2010

Samantha loves her sunglasses. I must wear mine when she has hers on, even if it is raining outside. She wanted to show Mammer how cool she is so she wore them in. Mammer got some great pictures.

>> Friday, January 1, 2010

This is the "Orange Kitty." It was the only thing that Samantha asked for from Santa. I have no idea where she came up with it.

Welcome to 2010!

Matthew and I were fortunate this New Year to go on our first date in months. We celebrated the coming of the new year at Savvy's (the bar where we met) with some long lost old friends, and some new ones. We had a fun time, and I am grateful to my loving mother who kept our wild child for the night to make it possible. I pray everyday that 2010 will bring us all peace and joy.
I have no real resolution for this year except to find a way to organize all the millions of pictures I take. I have been going through them a little, and I am saddened by the fact that I have so very few of my two beautiful boys, who are growing up so fast. One is headed off to college this year (while I am very happy for him, this thought makes me cry frequently). I have always been a bit of a shutterbug, but when they were little like Samantha we didn't have the blessed digital camera. 35mm processing isn't as easy as hooking up to the computer.
So, saying that, my New Years resolution is going to be to capture as many memories of all three of my children. Time flies by when you are not looking, and someday I am going to be thrilled that I have captured so much of it. I don't have much time left with Christian and Nathanial at home, so I am gonna make the best of that time (sorry boys), but I need to remember that there journey as children is coming to a close, but it is just a new beginning. As dear Paul would say, a new season of life.
Moments come and go, but the memories we make are timeless and continue to grow sweeter with every passing day. 2010 for me is about making and sharing as many memories as I possibly can.
